"Tropical depression in the Gulf of Thailand"

        At 08.00 p.m. today, tropical depression in the middle Gulf, make landfall to the coastal areas of Chumphon, has its center at Lat. 10.5 °N, Long. 99.2 °E with maximum wind speed about 55 km/hr. The depression is moving westward slowly and will move to the upper portion of the Andaman Sea. More rain and heavy to very heavy rain are expected in some places over provinces of the lower Central, East and South of Thailand; such as, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Ranong, Phangnga and Bangkok Metropolis and Vicinity. People in the risky areas should beware of flash flood and flooding condition. Besides, high wave 2-3 meters in upper Gulf is likely. All ships should proceed with caution during 1-3 May 2007.
