Thailand
The southerly and southeasterly winds prevailed over upper Thailand during early period after that the southwesterly wind prevailed over the Andaman Sea and Thailand. In addition, the low pressure cell which covered the Andaman Sea during the first half of the period moved to cover Myanmar. These conditions caused abundant rainfall over Thailand throughout the period.    
Northern Part
Fairly widespread to widespread rain almost the whole period with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas during the second half of the period. Floods occurred at Phitsanulok province on 16 May, at Chiang Mai, Uttaradit, Lumphun and Kamphaeng Phet provinces on 17 May, at Phetchabun province on 18 May. 248.9 mm at Mueang Kamphaeng Phet on 17 May.  39.1 º C at Mueang Mae Hong Son on 13 May. 
Northeastern Part
Fairly widespread to widespread rain almost the whole period with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas in upper portion. Floods occurred at Loei and Udon Thani provinces on 17 May. 214.0 mm at Phu Kradueng National Park Loei on 17 May.  37.0 º C at Mueang Nong Khai on 12 May. 
Central Part
Fairly widespread to widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas. Thunderstorm and gusty winds occurred at Sing Buri, Nakhon Sawan and Chainat provinces on 17 May. 131.0 mm at Kao Liao Nakhon Sawan on 17 May.  36.6 ºC at Chainat Agromet. Stn. Chainat on 12 May. Chai Badan Lop Buri on 15 May. Mueang Suphan Buri on 15 May. 
Eastern Part
Fairly widespread to widespread rain almost the whole period with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas. 204.8 mm at Phliu Agromet. Stn. Chanthaburi on 17 May.  36.2 º C at Mueang Prachin Buri on 12 May. 
Southern Part (East Coast)
Fairly widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas except for scattered rain on 13 and 16 May. 105.5 mm at Nopphitam Nakhon Si Thammarat on14 May.  36.5 º C at Mueang Surat Thani on 14 May. 
Southern Part (West Coast)
