Thailand
The monsoon trough which lay across the central, eastern and lower northeastern parts during the first half of the week then weakened and moved southward to lie across to the lower central, upper southern and eastern parts on the last day of the week. In addition, the moderate southwest monsoon which prevailed over the Andaman Sea and southern part weakened during the second half of the week. Moreover, the easterly wind prevailed over the northeastern and northern parts during weekend. These conditions caused abundant rainfall over upper Thailand nearly the whole week while rainfall was observed in southern part mainly along west coast during early and late week.    
Northern Part
Fairly widespread to widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas. Thundershower occurred at Sukhothai province on 3 Oct. Flash flood at Kamphaeng Phet and Lampang province on 8 Oct. Land slide at Chiang Rai province on 8 Oct. 121.4 mm at Thoen Lampang on 6 Oct.  34.5 º C at Tha Wang Pha Nan on 4 Oct. 
Northeastern Part
Fairly widespread to widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas except for isolated to scattered rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas on 6 and 8 Oct. Thundershower occurred at Nong Khai province on 2 Oct. Flash flood at Buri Ram province on 3 Oct and Nakhon Ratchasima province on 4 Oct. 176.0 mm at Phuluang Wildlife Sanctuary Loei on 4 Oct.  34.5 º C at Mueang Nakhon Phanom on 2 Oct. 
Central Part
Widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas except for scattered to fairly widespread rain with heavy rainfall in some areas during 5 - 7 Oct. Flash flood occurred at Lop Buri province on 6 Oct, at Chainat and Uthai Thani provinces on 7 Oct. 131.8 mm at Phayuha Khiri Nakhon Sawan on 3 Oct.  35.0 º C at Thong Pha Phum Kanchanaburi on 6,7 Oct. 
Eastern Part
Fairly widespread to widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas except for scattered rain with heavy rainfall in some areas on 5 Oct. 151.3 mm at Tha Yaek Forest Plantation Sa Kaew on 2 Oct.  35.0 º C at Mueang Chon Buri on 8 Oct. 
Southern Part (East Coast)
Scattered to fairly widespread rain with heavy rainfall in some areas except for widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas on 4 Oct. 125.0 mm at Saba Yoi Song Khla on 4 Oct.  34.7 º C at Phunphin. Surat Thani on 5 Oct. 
Southern Part (West Coast)
Widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas except for scattered to fairly widespread rain with heavy rainfall in some areas during 4-6 Oct. 104.3 mm at Mueang Ranong on 2 Oct.  35.9 º C at Mueang Phuket on 8 Oct. 
Metropolitan
Widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas except for scattered rain with heavy rainfall in some areas on 5, 6 and 8 Oct. Thundershower and hail occurred at Bangkok on 7 Oct. 93.5 mm at Khet Bang Kapi on 2 Oct. ( 103.0 mm at Kamphaeng Saen Nakhon Pathom on 3 Oct.)   33.7 º C at Bang Na Agromet Stn.
