Thailand
The monsoon trough lay across the northern and upper northeastern parts toward the low pressure cell in upper South China Sea during early week after that it shifted northward to lie over Myanmar and Laos to the low pressure cell over upper Vietnam and it later moved southward to lie over the northern and upper northeastern parts of Thailand toward the low pressure cell over upper Laos. Associated with the active southwest monsoon prevailed over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand throughout the week. These conditions caused abundant rainfall in upper Thailand almost the whole week while southern part had increasing in rainfall during the second half of the week.    
Northern Part
Fairly widespread rain throughout the week with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas during the second half of the week. Mudslide occurred at Mae Hong Son province on 9 Aug and flash floods occurred at Mae Hong Son province on 10 Aug and Chiang Mai province on 11 Aug. 95.4 mm at Wang Pong Phetchabun on 9 Aug. 
Northeastern Part
Isolated to scattered rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas during the first half of the week then fairly widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas. 107.6 mm at Muang Nong Khai on 11 Aug. 
Central Part
Fairly widespread to widespread rain almost the week with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas. Flash flood occurred at Kanchanaburi province on 11 Aug. 98.2 mm at Banhuaymalai School Sangkhla Buri Kanchanaburi on 8 Aug. 
Eastern Part
Fairly widespread rain almost the week with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas mainly in the lower coastal areas. Flash flood occurred at Trat province on 10 Aug. 184.4 mm at Khlong Yai Trat on 6 Aug. 
Southern Part (East Coast)
Isolated to scattered rain in the upper portion during the first half of the week then fairly widespread rain with heavy rainfall in some areas. 40.0 mm at Su-ngai Kolok Narathiwat on 11 Aug. 
Southern Part (West Coast)
Isolated to scattered rain with heavy rainfall in some areas during the first half of the week then widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas. Gusty wind occurred at Satun province on 9 Aug. Flood and mudslide was reported at Ranong province on 9 Aug. 114.6 mm at Takua Pa Phang Nga on 9 Aug. 
Metropolitan
Fairly widespread rain with heavy rainfall in some areas during early week and mid-week then isolated rain. 61.4 mm at Wat Dan School Khet Yan Nawa on 6 Aug. (26.2 mm at Suvarnabhumi Airport Samut Prakan on 6 Aug.)
