Thailand
The heat low pressure cell covered upper Thailand associated with the southerly and southeasterly wind prevailed over that area during the first half of the period then the moderate to rather active southwest monsoon prevailed over the Andaman Sea and Thailand. These conditions caused hot weather with successive very hot weather in several areas in the northern, northeastern and central parts mainly during the first half of the period. For rainfall, increasing in rainfall over upper Thailand since mid-period and thunderstorm with gusty wind occurred in several areas. Southern part received abundant rainfall almost the period.    
Northern Part
Hot weather nearly the whole areas with very hot weather in several areas during the first half of the period. Isolated rain during the first half of the period then increasing in rainfall and scattered to fairly widespread rain with heavy rainfall in some areas. Thunderstorm with gusty wind occurred at Chiang Rai province on 15 May, at Nan and Lampang provinces on 17 May. Flash flood occurred at Tak province on 15 May. 57.4 mm at Phitsanulok rice research center Phitsanulok on 18,19 May  41.9 º C at Tha Wang Pha Nan on 17 May 
Northeastern Part
Hot weather nearly the whole areas with very hot weather in several areas mainly during the first half of the period. Isolated rain with heavy rainfall in some areas except for scattered to fairly widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas during mid-period. Thunderstorm with gusty wind occurred at Kalasin, Amnat Charoen and Sakon Nakhon provinces on 17 May and at Surin province on 17 and 19 May. 260.0 mm at Ban Dung Udon Thani on 17 May  41.4 º C at Kamalasai Kalasin on 17 May 
Central Part
Hot weather nearly the whole areas with very hot weather in several areas of upper portion mainly during the first half of the period. Isolated to scattered rain with heavy rainfall in some areas except for fairly widespread rain on 18 May with heavy rainfall in some areas. Thunderstorm with gusty wind occurred at Nakhon Sawan province on 16 May, at Uthai Thani province on 17 May and at Ratchaburi province on 18 May. 55.6 mm at Pang Huasue Animal Husbandry Lop buri on 18 May  41.4 º C at Chai Badan Lop Buri on 16 May 
Eastern Part
Hot weather nearly the whole areas in the upper portion throughout the period. Isolated to scattered rain with heavy rainfall in some areas mainly in the lower coastal areas except for fairly widespread rain with heavy rainfall in some areas on 18 May. 80.0 mm at Khao Saming Trat on 18 May  38.6 º C at Aranyaprathet Sa Kaeo on 20 May 
Southern Part (East Coast)
Hot weather in several areas. Isolated to scattered rain with heavy rainfall in some areas. 84.6 mm at Mueang Pattani on 16 May  38.2 º C at Chawang Nakhon Si Thammarat on 15 May and at Nong Plub Agromet Stn. Prachuap Khiri Khan on 16 May 
Southern Part (West Coast)
Hot weather in some areas. Fairly widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas except for isolated to scattered rain on 15, 18 and 19 May with heavy rainfall in some areas. 117.5 mm at Khao Chong Botanical Garden Trang on 16 May  36.1 º C at Mueang Ranong on 15 May 
Metropolitan
Hot weather nearly the whole areas with very hot weather at Pathum Thani province on 16 May. Isolated light rain except for scattered to fairly widespread rain on 17 and 18 May with heavy rainfall in some areas. 40.0 mm at Watsamngam School Khet Nong Chok on 17 May (38.0 mm at Pathum Thani rice research center Pathum Thani on 17 May)  38.6 º C at Bangkok Metropolis Khet Khlong Toey on 18 May (40.1 º C at Khlong Luang Pathum Thani on 16 May)
