Thailand
The monsoon trough lay across the lower central, upper southern and eastern parts throughout the period. It lay toward the low pressure cell over lower Laos and the coast of lower Vietnam on 12-14 Oct. and toward the low pressure cell over Cambodia on the last day of the period. In addition, the active southwest monsoon prevailed over the Andaman Sea, southern part and the Gulf of Thailand throughout the period with the covering of the active low pressure cell over upper southern part on the first day of the period. Besides, under the influence of the tropical storm “LINFA (2015)” over the middle South China Sea making landfall over Quang Ngai, Vietnam at 10.00 a.m. on 11 Oct. and downgraded into the tropical depression over Kon Tam, Vietnam at 10.00 p.m. and moved westward before downgraded into active low pressure cell over Attapu, Loas at 04.00 a.m. on the next day. Together with the tropical storm “(NANGKA (2016))” over the upper South China Sea moved through the Hainan Island into the Gulf of Tonkin and made landfall over Ninh Binh, southern Hanoi, Vietnam at 04.00 p.m. on 14 Oct. It moved westward and weakened into tropical depression at Thanh Hóa, Vietnam at 07.00 p.m. on the same day. These conditions caused abundant rainfall over the lower northeastern, central, eastern and southern parts almost the period with flooding in several areas.    
Northern Part
Isolated rain except for to scattered to fairly widespread rain. Heavy rainfall was reported in some areas on the last day of the period. 40.3 mm at Tak Agromet. Stn. Tak on 15 Oct. and at Sukhothai Agricultural Office Sukhothai on 15 Oct.    
Northeastern Part
Scattered to fairly widespread rain almost the period. Heavy rainfall occurred in some areas during mid and late period and very heavy rainfall in some areas on the last day of the period. Flood occurred at Nakhon Ratchasima province on 9-15 Oct. and at Si Sa Ket province on 13 Oct. 141.5 mm at Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima on 15 Oct.   
Central Part
Widespread rain except for isolated to scattered rain on 11, 12 and 14 Oct. Heavy rainfall occurred in some areas almost the period and very heavy rainfall in some areas during early period and on the last day of the period. Gusty wind occurred at Chai Nat province on 9 Oct. Flood occurred at Ratchaburi province on 10-14 Oct. Gusty wind and flash flood occurred at Kanchanaburi province on 9-10 Oct. 123.5 mm at Mueang Uthai Thani on 15 Oct.   
Eastern Part
Fairly widespread to widespread rain almost the period except for isolated to scattered rain on 12 and 14 Oct. Heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas almost the period. Flood occurred at Rayong on 9 Oct., at Sa Kaeo province on 9-10 and 12-15 Oct., at Chonburi and Chantaburi provinces on 10 Oct. and at Chachoengsao province on 13-15 Oct. 244.4 mm at Sattahip Chonburi on 9 Oct.   
Southern Part (East Coast)
Widespread rain during early and mid-period then decreasing in rainfall to scattered rain. Heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas almost the period. Flash flood occurred at Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces on 10 Oct., at Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla and Surat Thani provinces on 14-15 Oct. 282.2 mm at Mueang Phetchaburi on 9 Oct.   
Southern Part (West Coast)
Widespread rain throughout the period with heavy rainfall in several areas and to very heavy in some areas. Gusty wind occurred at Phang-nga province on 11 Oct. Flood occurred at Phang-nga province on 12-15 Oct., at Trang province on 12-15 Oct., at Satun province on 13-15 Oct. and at Krabi province on 14 Oct. Landslide occurred at Phuket province on 12 Oct. and at Satun on 13 Oct. 202.0 mm at Kapoe Ranong on 13 Oct.   
Metropolitan
Widespread rain except for isolated to scattered rain on 12, 14 and 15 Oct. Heavy rainfall in some areas almost the period. 58.1 mm at Taweetha Phisek 2 School Khet Bang Khun Thian on 15 Oct. (70.4 mm at Sam Phran Nakhon Pathom on 9 Oct.)
