Tropical depression.
No. 2 (142/2024)

At 04.00
p.m. LST (20 July 2024), the tropical depression over the middle South China
Sea was due 440 km southeast of Hainan, China or latitude 16.0 degrees North, longitude 113.5 degrees East with sustained winds about 55 km/hr. It is moving northwest
at a speed about 10 km/hr. This storm will intensify to the tropical storm and
it is forecast to move through Hainan and make landfall over southern China during
21–23 Jul 2024. This storm with no direct effect on Thailand’s
weather. The travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling.
This
advisory is in effect on 20 July 2024, at 5.00 p.m.
