Subject: Heavy Rainfall in the South
No.8 (326/2024)
the low-pressure cell covers Malacca Strait will move to Sumatra island while the moderate northeast monsoon prevails over the South and the Gulf with isolated heavy rains. People in the lower south should beware of heavy rains that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
Affected areas are as followings
On 5 December 2024
South: Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
The moderated wind and waves in the lower Gulf are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf about 1-2 meters and the Andaman Sea, the waves have about 1 meter high and above 2 meter high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
