The rather strong southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the low-pressure cell covers the Central and the Tonkin Bay. Isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the country. People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along waterways, lowlands and take more caution in thundershowers.
Affected areas are as followings:

North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit,
Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Kamphaeng Phet and Tak.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon,
Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen and Nakhon Ratchasima.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani,
Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon
and Samut Songkhram including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Ranong.
The rather strong wind and waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea and above 3 meters in thundershowers while about 2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the Gulf, the waves have about 1 meter high, 1-2 meters offshore and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore during 24–26 May.
In addition, an active low-pressure cell over the Bay of Bengal has developed to tropical depression. It was center at latitude 15.0 degrees North and longitude 88.5 degrees East. With its maximum sustained winds about 55 km/hr. The storm is moving north-northeast at a speed of about 11 km/hr. It will intensify to tropical cyclone in the next phase, expected to make landfall over Bagladesh during 26 – 27 May.
