Subject: Heavy
to very heavy rain in Thailand
and Strong Wind-Waves in upper Andaman Sea
No. 15 (107/2024)

The rather strong southwest monsoon
prevailing over the western North and the Central while the southerly and
southeasterly winds prevail over the lower Northeast, the East, the lower
Central, the South and the Gulf with thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in
western of the North and the Central. People in the areas should beware of heavy
rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially
along waterways and lowlands.
The moderate wind and
waves are likely about 2 meters high in the upper Andaman Sea while 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2
meters high in thundershowers. In the Gulf, the waves have about 1 meter high
and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution
and keep off thundershowers.
In addition, the tropical
cyclone “Remal” over the
upper Bay of
Bangal is expected to make landfall over Bangladesh during 26–27 May.
The tropical storm “Ewiniar” over middle Philippines is expected to move to the
Pacific Ocean during 27–31 May. Thease storms is no direct effect on
Thailand’s weather.
