Subject: Heavy to very heavy rains in Thailand,
Strong Wind-Waves in the Andaman Sea

During 13-17 Sep, the monsoon trough will move down to lie across the lower North, the upper Central the Northeast and of Thailand into the low-pressure cell over middle Vietnam. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen. More rains and heavy rains are likely in many places of the country with isolated very heavy rains are possible in the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South (west coast). People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.
During 14-17 Sep, the strengthening wind and wave in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are likely 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Gulf, the waves have about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore.
In addition, tropical depression over the east of the Philippines will intensify and expected to move to Taiwan, China with no effect on Thailand’s weather.
