Subject: Heavy to very heavy rains in Thailand,
Strong Wind-Waves in the upper Andaman Sea

During 26–28 Aug, the monsoon trough will move down to lie across the North, the Northeast and the upper Central of Thailand while the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen. At the same time, the low-pressure cell over upper Laos will move through the upper North of Thailand and Myanmar. More rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in the country and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the upper North, the upper Northeast, the East and the South (west coast). People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.

On 26 August 2024
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit,
Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon,
Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Maha Sarakham,
Nakhon Ratchasima and Buriram.
Central: Lopburi, Saraburi, Ang Thong, Phra
Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom
and Samut Sakhon including Bangkok and its
vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom
and Samut Sakhon including Bangkok and its
vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan,
Chumphon, Surat Thani, Ranong, Phang Nga,
Phuket and Krabi.
During 27–29 Aug, the strengthening wind and wave in the upper Andaman Sea are likely 2–3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf, the waves have about 2 meters high while 1–2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore during 27–29 Aug.
