Subject: Severe Tropical Storm “TRAMI”
No.10 (243/2024)
At 10.00 p.m. LST (26 Oct 2024), the severe tropical storm “TRAMI” over the middle South China Sea was due 160 km. South of Hainan, China or at latitude 17.0 degrees north and longitude 110.3 degrees east. With maximum sustained winds about 100 km/hr. This storm was moving west at a speed of 20 km/hr. It is expected to move near the coast of middle Vietnam during 27–28 Oct 2024. This storm does not move to Thailand but induce the strength of the westerly and southwesterly winds which flow to the center while the confluence of the northwesterly wind from the Andaman Sea and the northeasterly wind prevails over upper Thailand. More rains with gusty wind are likely in the country and isolated heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East in this period. After that, the storm will change direction and move to the upper South China Sea, the rains will decrease in the upper country.
The northwesterly wind which prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf will be strengthen during 26–29 Oct 2024. Heavy rains are likely to present in many places of the South with very heavy rains in some places. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.

Northeast: Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani.
East: Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phang Nga, Phuket, Trang and Satun.
On 27 October 2024
North: Phichit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon
Phanom, Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen,
Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Suphan Buri, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

Northeast: Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Kanchanaburi,
Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon
including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
The strengthening winds force the waves in the lower Andaman Sea are likely about 2 meters high while the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
