Subject: Severe Tropical Storm “TRAMI”
No.13 (246/2024)
At 04.00 p.m. LST (27 Oct 2024), the tropical storm “TRAMI” over the lower Laos. It was centered at Sakong District, Laos or at latitude 15.3 degrees north and longitude 107.5 degrees east. With maximum sustained winds about 85 km/hr. This storm was moving south-southwest at a speed of 20 km/hr. This storm does not move to Thailand but induce the strength of the westerly and southwesterly winds which flow to the center while the confluence of the northwesterly wind from the Andaman Sea and the northeasterly wind prevails over upper Thailand. More rains with gusty wind are likely in the country and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East in this period. After that, the storm will change direction and move to the upper South China Sea, the rains will decrease in the upper country during 28–29 Oct 2024.
The northwesterly wind which prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf will be strengthen during 27–29 Oct 2024. Heavy rains are likely to present in many places of the South with very heavy rains in some places. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.

North: Phichit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon
Phanom, Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen,
Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Suphan Buri, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
On 28 October 2024
Northeast: Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani.
South: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Ranong, Phang Nga,
Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

The strengthening winds force the waves in the lower Andaman Sea are likely about 2 meters high while the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
