Subject: Severe Tropical Storm “TRAMI”
No.14 (247/2024)
At 10.00 p.m. LST (27 Oct 2024), the tropical storm “TRAMI” over the middle Vietnam. It was centered at Quang Nam, Vietnam or at latitude 15.4 degrees north and longitude 107.9 degrees east. With maximum sustained winds about 65 km/hr. This storm was moving south-southwest slowly. This storm will not move to Thailand but induce the westerly and southwesterly winds flow to the center. Isolated heavy rains are possible in the eastern part of the Northeast. After that, the storm will change direction and move to the upper South China Sea, the rains will decrease in the upper country during 28–29 Oct 2024.
The northwesterly wind which prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf will be strengthen during 28–29 Oct 2024. Heavy rains are likely in many places of the South. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands.

Northeast: Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen and Ubon Ratchathani.
South: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Ranong, Phang Nga,
Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

The strengthening winds force the waves in the lower Andaman Sea are likely about 2 meters high while the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
