Subject: Storm “BUALOI”
and heavy to very heavy rain in Thailand
No.10 (271/2025)

At 01.00 a.m. LST (29 September
2025), typhoon “BUALOI” was made landfall over Quang Binh, Vietnam and was downgraded to Severe Tropical Storm, at 04.00 a.m. LST, it was centered about 50
kilometers east of east of Xiangkhouang Province, Laos. Or at latitude 18.4 degrees north and longitude 105.6 degrees east with maximum
sustained winds about 111 km./hr.
This storm is moving west-northwest with a speed of 20 km/hr. Storm “BUALOI”
is forecasted to weaken into a depression
and later weaken further into a strong low-pressure area over northern Laos respectively.
The
storm “BUALOI” effects to the strong monsoon through will lie across the lower North,
the upper Central and the Northeast while the southwest monsoon prevailing over
the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf becomes rather strong during 29-30 September 2025. Heavy rain is
likely in many places over country with isolated very heavy rain in the North,
the Northeast, the East and the South west coast. People in the country should
beware of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash floods
and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. The
wind force waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2-3 meters
high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea
should proceed with caution. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper
Gulf should keep ashore until 30 September 2025.
