Subject: Storm “DANAS”
No.4 (161/2025)

At 01.00 a.m. LST (5 July 2025), tropical depression over the upper South China Sea has developed to tropical storm “DANAS”. At 01.00 a.m. LST, it was centered at latitude 20.0 degrees north and longitude 117.0degrees east with maximum sustained winds about 55 km./hr. This storm is almost stationary and expected move near Taiwan during 7 - 9 July 2025. This storm is forecast to not move to Thailand with no direct effect on Thailand’s weather but induced the strengthening southwest monsoon prevails over Thailand.
This advisory is in effect on 5 July 2025, at 05.00 a.m.
