Subject: Storm “FENGSHEN”
No.15 (306/2025)

At 04.00 a.m. LST (23 October 2025), the tropical storm “FENGSHEN” over the upper South China Sea. It was centered about 75 kilometers northeast of Danang, Vietnam or at latitude 16.6 degrees north and longitude 108.7 degrees east with maximum sustained winds about 65 km/hr. This storm is moving west-southwest at a speed of 15 km/hr. Storm “FENGSHEN” is forecasted to make landfall over middle of Vietnam on 23 October 2025. After that, it will downgrade rapidly due to the extending of the high-pressure system from China extend to upper Vietnam and upper South China Sea. This storm will not move into Thailand.
The storm “FENGSHEN” effects thundershowers in the northeast region during on 23 October 2025. The moderate monsoon trough lies across the middle South with heavy to very heavy rain during 23-26 October 2025. People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. The moderate wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are expected 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
