Subject: Storm “FENGSHEN”
No.6 (297/2025)

At 10.00 p.m. LST (20 October
2025), tropical storm “FENGSHEN” over the upper South China Sea or centered at
latitude 18.2 degrees north and longitude 113.2 degrees
east with maximum sustained winds about 74 km/hr. This storm is moving west
with a speed of 25 km/hr. Storm “FENGSHEN” is forecasted
to intensify and move near the south of Hainan, China and the central coastal
of Vietnam during 22-23 Oct. After that, it will downgrade
rapidly due to the extending of the high-pressure system from China extend to
upper Vietnam and upper South China Sea. This storm is not move to Thailand.
The
storm “FENGSHEN” effects thundershowers in the northeast region during 23-24
Oct. the moderate monsoon trough lie across the middle South with heavy to very
heavy rain. People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and
accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the
waterways near foothills and lowlands. The moderate wind and waves in the
Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are expected 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters
high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off
thundershowers.
