Subject: Storm “KOTO”
And cool to cold in Thailand
(Effect until 1 December 2025)

At 4.00 p.m. LST
(30 November 2025), severe tropical storm “KOTO” was centered about 330
kilometer east of Binh Dinh, Vietnam or at latitude 14.1 degrees
north and longitude 112.2 degrees east with maximum sustained winds about 90
km/hr. This storm is almost stationary, expected to move near the coast of
Vietnam while the high-pressure system covers Vietnam and the upper South China
Sea. This storm will decline rapidly and not move to Thailand.
The rather strong high-pressure system
from China which covers upper Thailand, the upper South is weakening with increase
in temperature and morning fog. Morning cool to cold is forecast in the upper
country and the upper South regions. On mountains top of the North and the Northeast,
cold to very cold are forecast. The minimum temperature of the North
mountaintops is in range of 5-10 °C while the Northeast ranges by 7-11 °C.
People in the upper country and the upper South should
keep healthy due to the cool to cold weather and beware of fire due to dry air.
The wind and wave
in the Gulf are expected 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in
thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
