Subject: Summer Storm in Thailand
No. 8 (67/2024)
The moderate high-pressure system from China covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea while the easterly wind and the northeasterly wind prevail over the North and the Central region. Outbreak of summer storms are possible following with thunderstorms, gusty wind and hail including lightning strike in the country and a decrease in temperature. People in the country should stay safe from the severe weather conditions by keeping off outdoor places, large trees, and unsecured buildings. Farmers should prevent for crops damage and animals’ danger.
Affected areas are as followings:
On 20 March 2024
North: Mae Hong Son,
Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Sukhothai,
Tak
and Kamphaeng Phet.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Suphanburi,
Kanchanaburi,Ratchaburi, Nakhon
Pathom,
Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram including
Bangkok and its vicinity.
South: Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
The final advisory is in effect on 20 March 2024, at 5.00 p.m.
