Subject: Summer Storm in the upper Thailand
No. 3 (47/2024)
The high-pressure system from China extend to eastern part of the Northeast and the South China Sea with the southerly and the southeasterly wind will prevail across the upper country where hot weather occurs. Outbreak of summer storms, gusty winds, hail and lightning strike are likely in some areas of the lower North, western part of the Northeast, the Central, including Bangkok and its vicinity and the East. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage.
Affected areas are as followings:
On 1 March 2024
North: Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen and Nakhon Ratchasima.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao and Chonburi.
On 2 March 2024
North: Lampang, Phrae, Sukhothai, Tak and Kamphaeng Phet.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao and Chonburi.
Central: Uthai Thani, Chainat, Singburi, Ang Thong, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon
Si Ayutthaya, Suphanburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon
including Bangkok and its vicinity.
On 3 March 2024
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi and Chachoengsao.
Central: Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi.
The advisory is in effect on 1 March 2024, at 5.00 p.m.
This next issue will be at 2 March 2024, at 5.00 a.m.
