Subject: Summer Storm in upper Thailand
No. 10 (89/2023)
The moderate high-pressure system from China over the eastern portion of northeastern Thailand and the South China Sea is expected to reach and force the southerly and the southeasterly winds to cover the upper country where hot to very hot weather occurs. On 29 March, outbreaks of summer storms will be possible accompanying with thunderstorms, gusty winds, hail and lightning strikes. People should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage.
Affected areas are as followings:
29 March 2023
North: Phichit, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and UbonRatchathani.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Lop Buri, Saraburi , Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa
Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi
and Trat.
The advisory is in effect on 29 March 2023, at 5.00 a.m.
