Subject: Summer thunderstorm in
the upper country
(Effect on 11-13 March 2026 )
No.1 (15/2026)

During 11-13 March 2026, the westerly trough from Myanmar will
move through the North while another moderate high-pressure system from China
will extend to the Northeast, the East and the South China Sea with hot weather
occurs over the upper country. Outbreak of summer storms are possible following
with gust, hail and heavy rains including lightning strikes are forecast in the
North at first then the Central, the western part of the Northeast and the East
including Bangkok and its vicinity. People in the upper country keep healthy
due to changeable weather and beware of severe conditions by keeping off
outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop
damage and animals danger.
