Subject: Summer Thunderstorm in the upper Thailand
(Effect until 14 April 2025)

The moderate high-pressure system from China extend to the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea leads the easterly and southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the upper country where hot weather occurs. Outbreaks of summer storms are possible following with thunderstorms, gusty wind and hail including lightning strike in the North and the Central and isolated heavy rains are likely in the North regions.
Affected areas are as followings
On 14 April 2025
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Sukhothai and Tak.
Central: Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon
and Nakhon Prathom.
People in the upper country should keep healthy due to changeable weather and beware of heavy rains and severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Avoiding travelling pass the recurring flooding areas such as Mueang District Khon Kaen Province, Si Racha District and Pattaya Gty, Chonburi Province, Pluak Daeng and Mueang District, Rayong Province including Bangkok and its vicinity. All transports take more caution during the phenomena. Farmers should prevent for crop damage and animals’ danger.
