During 24 – 27 January 2024, the moderate northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South will strengthen with isolated heavy rain in the lower South.

During
24 – 27 January 2024, the moderate northeast
monsoon prevailing over the Gulf and the South will strengthen with isolated
heavy rain in the lower South. The wind and waves over the Gulf and the Andaman
Sea will also strengthen with about 2 meters high in the upper Gulf from Surat
Thani northward,
2 – 3 meters high in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat southward,
above 3 meters high in thundershowers while 1 – 2 meters high in the Andaman
Sea and above 2 meters high offshore. People along the coast of the South (east
coast) should beware of storm surge. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea
should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the
lower Gulf keep ashore by lasting 27 January 2024.
The advisory is in effect on 23 January 2024, at 5.00 a.m.
