Subject: Tropical Depression
No. 2 (246/2025)

At 10.00 a.m. LST
(18 September 2025), tropical depression over the upper South China Sea was
located at latitude 19.5 degrees north and longitude 119.0 degrees east, with
maximum sustained winds near the center at about 55 km/hr. The storm is moving north
- northwest with a speed of 20 km/hr. and it is expected to intensify into a
tropical storm before making landfall over the east of the south China during
19-20 September with not approaching Thailand.
The effect of
this storm leads to the monsoon through moves up to lie across the lower North,
the upper Central and the lower Northeast with more rain and isolated heavy
rain. People should beware of heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash
floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and
lowlands.

advisory is in effect on 18 September 2025, at 11.00 a.m.
