Subject: Tropical Depression
No. 3 (247/2025)

At 01.00 p.m. LST (18 September 2025), Tropical depression over the upper South China Sea is intensified
to tropical storm “MITAG”, at 04.00 a.m. LST, it was centered at latitude 21.8 degrees north and longitude 116.3 degrees east, with maximum sustained winds near the center at about 65 km/hr. The storm is moving west - northwest with a speed of 20 km/hr. and it is expected making landfall over the east of the south China during 19 September with not approaching Thailand. The travelers should check the weather forecast for the region you're going to be visiting.
The effect of this storm leads to the monsoon through moves up to lie across the lower North, the upper Central and the lower Northeast with more rain and isolated heavy rain. People should beware of heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
