Subject: Tropical Depression over the upper South China Sea
No.3 (160/2025)

At 10.00 p.m. LST (4 July 2025), tropical depression over the upper South China Sea. It was centered at latitude 20.0 degrees north and longitude 117.5degrees east with maximum sustained winds about 55 km./hr. This storm is moving west slowly and expected to intensify to tropical storm and move pass Taiwan during 7 - 9 July 2025. This storm is forecast to not move to Thailand.
This advisory is in effect on 4 July 2025, at 11.00 p.m.
This next issue will be on 5 July 2025, at 5.00 a.m.
