Subject: Tropical Storm “NONGFA”
and heavy to very heavy rain in Thailand

The active low-pressure cell move through the monsoon trough covers the lower North, Thailand. It will move into Myanmar tomorrow while the rather strong southwest monsoon continues to prevail over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.
This system will bring increased rainfall across heavy to very heavy rainfall is still expected in some areas of the western part of the northern region. People in Lampang, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Lamphun, Chiang Mai, Tak, and Mae Hong Son provinces are advised to be cautious. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rain, accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
The rather strong southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, leading to heavy rainfall in the eastern and western southern regions of Thailand. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore and people along the coast of the East and the upper South west coast should beware of storm surge during 31 August - 2 September 2025.
