Subject: Tropical storm “YINXING”
No.14 (275/2024)
At 10.00 a.m. LST (11 November 2024), the tropical storm “YINXING” over the upper South China Sea. It was due 350 km east of Da Nang, the coast of middle Vietnam or at latitude 17.0 degrees north and longitude 111.1 degrees east. With maximum sustained winds about 83 km/hr. This storm was moving southwest at a speed of 15 km/hr. It is expected to move near Da Nang, the coast of middle Vietnam during 11-12 November 2024. It is forecast to downgrade to the severe tropical storm, the tropical depression, respectively. This storm will not move to Thailand. The travelers should check the weather forecast for the region you're going to be visiting.
During 11-12 November 2024, the monsoon trough lie across the lower South and Malaysia while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the upper Gulf and the upper South with isolated heavy to very heavy rains in the South. People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially in the foothills near the waterways and the lowland areas.
