Subject: Typhoon “KOINU”

No. 4 (265/2023)

At 4.00 a.m. LST (7 October 2023), typhoon “KOINU” over the upper South China Sea or latitude 21.2 degrees North, longitude 115.6 degrees East with sustained winds about 157 km/hr. It is moving west-southwest at a speed of about 10 km/hr, expected to move near the coast of southeastern China during 8-9 October 2023, then it will downgrade to tropical storm, tropical depression, and an active low-pressure cell, respectively. This storm has no direct effect on Thailand’s weather.

       This advisory is in effect on 7 October 2023, at 5.00 a.m.
