Typhoon KOINU No. 9 (270/2023)

At 4.00 p.m. LST (9 October), tropical storm KOINU over the coast of southern China was due at latitude 21.4 degrees North, longitude 112.8 degrees East. With sustained winds about 112.8 km/hr, this storm is moving west-northwest at a speed of 65 km/hr to pass Hainan into Tonkin Gulf on 10 and 11 October, then weaken with no direct effect on Thailand’s weather.
