Typhoon “YINXING”

At 4.00 p.m. LST (10 November 2024),
the typhoon
“YINXING” over
the upper South China Sea was due 220 km
east of Hainan, China or at latitude 18.7 degrees north and longitude 112.8 degrees east. With maximum sustained winds about 148 km/hr. This storm is moving southwestward slowly, expected to move near
southern Hainan, China and the coast of middle Vietnam during 11-12 November
2024. It is forecast to downgrade to the severe tropical storm, the tropical
storm, the tropical depression, respectively. This storm will not move to
Thailand. The travelers should check the
weather forecast for the region you're going to be visiting.
During 10-11 November 2024, the monsoon trough lie across the lower South
and Malaysia while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the
upper Gulf and the upper South with isolated heavy to very
heavy rains in the South. People in the areas should beware of heavy
to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows,
especially in the foothills near the waterways and the lowland areas.
