The westerly trough covers the North with thunderstorms, gusty winds and isolated hail, as well as lighting strikes. It will then follow by a decrease in temperatures by 2-4 degrees Celsius. People in the upper country should beware of the severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage and keep healthy due to the variable weather.
Affected areas are as followings:

North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet and Phetchabun.
The rather strong northeasterly winds prevail across the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea with more rain and isolated heavy rains in the South. The rather strong wind forces the waves 2-3 meters high in the lower Gulf and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships proceed with caution, and small boats in the lower Gulf keep ashore.
