Subject: Variable weather over Thailand
No.9 (232/2024)
Another high-pressure system from China covers the upper North, the upper Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea lead to the easterly and southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the lower North, the lower Northeast, the Central and the East while the monsoon trough lie across the East and the upper South. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the country for the first period. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along foothills near waterways and lowlands and keep healthy due to the changeable weather.
Affected areas are as follows:
On 21 October 2024
Central: Kanchanaburi,
Ratchaburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nakhon Pathom,
Samut
Sakhon and Samut Songkhram.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan.

The moderate wind and waves are in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf. The waves in the Andaman Sea are 1-2 meters high while the waves in the Gulf are about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
