Subject: Storm “KAJIKI”
and heavy to very heavy rain in Thailand
No.13 (216/2025)

At 4.00 p.m. LST (25 August
2025), typhoon “KAJIKI” made land fall over lower Vinh, Vietnam or at latitude 18.3
degrees north and longitude 106.0 degrees east with maximum sustained winds
about 120 km./hr. This storm is
moving westward with a speed of 20 km/hr. The storm is expected downgrade to
tropical storm and tropical depression respectively move
to cover Laos and the Northeast by morning 26 August. Finally, it will
downgrade to an active low-pressure cell over Nan, Thailand by afternoon 26
August, causing isolated heavy to very heavy rain and strong winds over the
North and the upper Northeast of Thailand during 25–27 August 2025. People in
the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rain, strong wind and accumulation
that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near
foothills and lowlands.

Phrae, Uttaradit, Lampang, Phitsanulok, and Phetchabun.
Northeast:
Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong
Bua Lam Phu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon,
Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Yasothon, and Amnat Charoen.
Central: Lopburi,
Saraburi, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon,
and Nakhon
Pathom, including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East:
Nakhon
Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chanthaburi, and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi,
Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, and Krabi.

Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae,

The rather
strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to
2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should
proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman
Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore. People along the coast of the East
and the upper South west coast should beware of storm surge.
