"Category 4 Severe Tropical Storm “Saudel”"
No. 2 Time Issued October 21, 2020
     At 1.00 p.m. on 21 October, the Category 3 tropical storm SAUDEL over the middle South China Sea has developed to the Category 4 severe tropical storm SAUDEL or latitude 16.4 degrees north, longitude 117.7 degrees east with the maximum sustained winds about 100 km/hr. It is moving north – northwest at the speed of 20 km/hr., expected to make landfall over the upper coast of Vietnam from 25-26 October 2020 and rapidly downgrade into the low cell. Isolated rain with strong wind is likely over the eastern and the lower portion of the Northeast.

        The advisory is in effect on 21 October 2020, at 5.00 p.m.
