"Tropical Storm “ETAU” Category 3"
No. 2 Time Issued November 9, 2020
     At 4.00 a.m. today (9 November), tropical depression over the middle South China Sea upgrade to the tropical storm “ETAU” was centered latitude 13.0 degrees north, longitude 114.7 degrees east. With its maximum sustained winds about 65 km/hr, it is moving west at a speed of

        about 25 km/hr. It is expected to make landfall over lower Vietnam during 10-11 November 2020

        then downgrade to the tropical depression and the active low pressure over Cambodia. Isolated rain and strong winds are likely over the Northeast and the East. Farmers should prepare for crop damage.

       

        The advisory is in effect on 9 November 2020, at 5.00 a.m.
