"Category 5 Typhoon VAMCO"

     At 10.00 a.m. on 15 November, Category 5 Typhoon VAMCO over the upper coast of Vietnam was centered about 70 km the southeast of Dong Hoi, Vietnam or at latitude 17.2 degrees north, longitude 107.4 degrees east with the maximum sustained winds of 130 km/hr. Moving west-northwest about 15 km/hr, the storm is forecast to make landfall over Vietnam by 15 November and then be downgraded, respectively. Isolated light to moderate rains will be likely over the Northeast and the North from 15-16 November 2020. Farmers should prepare for crop damage.

        The advisory is in effect on 15 November 2020, at 11.00 a.m.
