"Heavy Rain and strong Wind Waves in South."

No. 5 Time Issued November 30, 2020
     The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and the South while the low-pressure cell over the lower South China Sea will move to the coast of Malaysia. Isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the South. People in risky areas should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and water runoff.

        Affected areas are as followings:

        30 November to 2 December: isolated heavy to very heavy rain

        South: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala,

        Narathiwat, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

        3 December: isolated heavy rain

        South: Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Krabi,

        Trang and Satun.

        The winds in the upper Gulf become stronger, and the waves are likely about 2 meters high in the upper portion, 2-3 meters high in the lower portion and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Gulf proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats keep ashore lasting 4 December.
