Weather Warning "Tropical Depression" No. 4 Time Issued December 20, 2020 |
At 10.00 a.m. today (20 December 2020), tropical depression overs the middle South China Sea or latitude 10.5 degrees North, longitude 114.0 degrees East. With maximum sustained winds of about 55 km/hr. The storm is moving west at a speed of about 25 km/hr. It is expected downgrade during 23-24 December 2020. The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South. Isolated heavy rain is forecast in the lower South. People in the South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood. The strong wind and waves are likely in the upper Gulf about 2 meters, 2-3 meters in the lower Gulf and above 3 meters in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and small boat in the Gulf keep ashore until 23 December 2020.
