" Heavy Rain in the South."

No. 1 Time Issued December 22, 2020
     The moderate northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and the South while the low-pressure cell in the lower South China Sea will move through the Gulf of Thailand and then move to the Andaman Sea during 24-25 December 2020, causing some areas of the southern part to have heavy to very heavy rain. People in the South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood.

        Affected areas are as followings:

        24 December, 2020

        Very heavy rain: Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat

        Heavy rain: Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Ranong and Phangnga.

        25 December, 2020

        Heavy rain: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla,

        Ranong and Phangnga.

        The strong wind and waves are in the Gulf of Thailand about 2 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Gulf proceed with caution.

       

        This advisory is in effect on 22 December 2020, at 5.00 p.m.

        The next issue will be at 23 December 2020, at 5.00 a.m.
