"Heavy Rain, strong wind and wave in the South."

No. 7 Time Issued December 24, 2020
     The active low-pressure cell covers the lower Gulf of Thailand. It is forecast to covers the South by today (24 December). In the mean time the strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South with more rain in the South. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain are also possible. People in the South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood.

        Affected areas are as followings:

        24 December, 2020

        Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala,

        Narathiwat, Ranong, Phangnga, Krabi and Trang.

        25 December, 2020

        Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ranong and Phangnga.

        The strong wind and waves are 2-3 meters high in the Gulf of Thailand and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Gulf proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats keep ashore lasting 26 December.

        This advisory is in effect on 24 December 2020, at 5.00 p.m.
