Weather Warning "Cool to Cold in upper Thailand and strong Wind-Waves in Gulf" No. 1 Time Issued December 28, 2020 |
From 30 December 2020 to 3 January 2021, another strong high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand, leading to cooler weather with strong winds. Along the plains of the North and the Northeast, temperatures decrease by 6-8 degree Celsius with minimum temperatures in ranges of 8-16 degrees Celsius but mountaintops having cold to very cold weather with minimum temperatures expected in ranges of 2-14 degrees Celsius and isolated frost. In the Central and East regions, minimum temperatures are in ranges of 15-22 degrees Celsius. People should keep healthy due to the colder weather. The stronger northeast monsoon across the Gulf of Thailand and the South forces the waves about 2 meters high in the upper Gulf, 2-3 meters high in the lower portion, and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. Residents along the shoreline should beware of inshore surf. All ships should proceed with caution. Small boats keep ashore from 31 December 2020 to 3 January 2021.
