Weather Warning "Cool to Cold in upper Thailand and strong Wind-Waves in Gulf" No. 8 Time Issued January 1, 2021 |
The strong high-pressure system from China covers the upper Thailand with cooler weather and strong winds. Temperatures are expected to decrease more 2-4 degrees Celsius in the North while the rest of the upper portion decrease in temperature by 1-3 degree Celsius. The plains of the North and the Northeast have minimum temperatures in ranges of 9-16 degrees Celsius but mountaintops have cold to very cold weather with minimum temperatures in ranges of 2-10 degrees Celsius and isolated frost. In the Central and East regions, minimum temperatures are in ranges of 16-18 degrees Celsius. People should keep healthy due to the colder weather. The stronger northeast monsoon across the Gulf of Thailand and the South forces the waves 2-3 meters high in the upper Gulf, 2-4 meters high in the lower portion, and more than 4 meters high in thundershowers. Residents along the shoreline should beware of inshore surf. All ships should proceed with caution. Small boats keep ashore lasting 3 January 2021. This final advisory is in effect on 1 January 2021, at 5.00 a.m. (Signed) Nattapon Nattasomboon (Mr. Nattapon Nattasomboon) Director-General Thai Meteorological Department |
