"Cool to Cold in upper Thailand and strong Wind-Waves in Gulf"
No. 8 Time Issued January 10, 2021
The strong high-pressure area from China covers upper Thailand. Cool to cold with strong winds are likely over the area. Mountaintops have cold to very cold weather with isolated frost. People should keep healthy due to the variable weather.
The strong northeast monsoon across the Gulf of Thailand and the South forces the wind waves 2-3 meters high in the upper Gulf, 2-4 meters high in the lower portion. Residents along the shoreline should beware of inshore surf. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore lasting 13 January.
Another high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand from 11-13 January with cool to cold, strong winds and decreasing temperatures by 2-4 °C, likely.
This advisory is in effect on 10 January 2021, at 5.00 p.m.
The next issue will be at 11 January 2021, at 5.00 a.m.
