Weather Warning "Cool to cold weather in upper Thailand and heavy rain with strong wind-wave in the South" No. 11 Time Issued December 17, 2010

During 17-19 December, the intense high pressure area from China covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Cool weather with windy is likely over the area. 2-4 °C drops and rain are expected during this period. The rather strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and southern Thailand during 17-20 December. More rain is expected much of the South with the strong wind-wave of 2-4 meters high in the Gulf. People from Surat Thani southward should beware of heavy rain. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
