During 17-18 May, upper Thailand is heavy to very heavy rain occur. It affects the following sector:
The Northern part: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Lamphun, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phare, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.
The Northeastern part: Loei, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Udon Thani, Maha Sarakham, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Buri Ram, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani.
The Central part: Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Bangkok and Vicinity.
The Eastern part: Prachin Buri, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
All people in these areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rain which may cause sudden floods and flash floods.
During 17-18 May, the active low pressure over the coastal of Myanmar is expected to move to Myanmar, the west coast North and the Central of Thailand cause abundant rain with heavy to very heavy rain many place. All people in upper Thailand should beware of heavy rain and flash flood in this period.
The strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the South. The strong wind waves are likely 2-4 meters high in the Andaman Sea. All ships proceed with caution and small boats should keep a shore.
