"Sever Heavy Rain in upper Thailand and Strong Winds in Andaman Sea "

The active low pressure over the lower part of Bengal Bay is expected move up to the upper part and Myanmar during 27-29 May. The strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and Thailand. There remains abundant rainfall with torrential overall country especially in the North, the Central, the East, and the South. The wind waves in the Andaman Sea become strong.
During 26-28 May, affected areas are as following:
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Pitchit, Phetchabun, Kamphaeng Phet and Tak.
Northeast: Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Ratchaburi, Suphan Buri, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Nakhon Sawan, Lop Buri, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chomphon, Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang.
People should beware of possible flash flood. The strong wind waves are likely 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore.
